Persecution Abroad: New York City

For decades, the Chinese communist regime has worked to inject their influence in other nations through local Chinese communities. Now, a huge network of political alliances, college student organizations, social clubs, and administrative divisions under the control of the regime has been established in the United States. The network can be effectively utilized in favor of the communist regime when it needs to, even in the US. It is clearly evidenced in the Flushing (link) and Manhattan attacks.

As of today, mobs continue to surround Falun Gong practitioners in Flushing where they maintain a booth with free information about Falun Gong and the persecution with verbal attacks and physical harassment. Similar incidents have taken place recently in Japan and Los Angeles, coupled with an aggressive campaign by the state-run media in China. The Chinese communist regime has used the Sichuan earthquake as a means of redirecting public anger caused by regime’s irresponsible handling of the quake toward political targets.

The Falun Dafa Information Center has obtained a copy of the recorded phone conversation (transcript) with New York City’s Chinese Consul General, Mr. Peng Keyu, in which he confirms his role behind recent incidents in New York.
